Jose Rumours Mourinho Has Denied Signing A Contract To Take Over As Manchester United Manager.

Despite numerous , Jose rumours  Mourinho has denied signing a contract to take over as Manchester United manager.

According to the 53-year-old, he is yet to put pen on paper for any club, adding that Louis Van Gaal is a friend to him.

“ Van Gaal is my friend, I worked with him for a few years. I am always linked with jobs and in the summer I will have a job, but in this moment I can promise you I do not have a contract with any club. I am not in a position to turn jobs down, I am in a position to analyse. I am in a position to be open to any club or national team,” Mourinho said.

manager however admitted that he would prefer to continue working in the Premier League: “I have to be honest, if possible I would prefer a club but I must analyse to see what is best for my career and to be back with everything I have.”

“I would prefer to be in England. I love the country, I love the football here, my family is very stable and happy. If possible, yes, it would be my first choice,” the 53-year-old added.

The Sun (UK) reports that the former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho wants a blueprint of his new role from the club if he to succeed Van Gaal next season.

The Portuguese trainer has long been linked with the Old Trafford job, but a public vote of confidence in Louis van Gaal from Sir Alex Ferguson has raised speculation the current manager could continue in his post.

Mourinho reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United earlier this year but that has not stopped Arsenal from considering Mourinho as a possible manager at the Emirates. Meanwhile it is believed the Portuguese would not move to Old trafford after reports emerged that United have put Louis van Gaal in their summer transfer plans.

There are indications that the management of Manchester United may snub Jose Mourinho as their new manager to appoint former team captain, Ryan Giggs, as Louis van Gaal’s successor.

Sunday Mirror reports that Mourinho’s reluctance to bring in younger players has deemed his chances at the club. It is claimed “powerful influences” within the Old Trafford boardroom feel Mourinho “can’t be trusted” to keep faith with their philosophy of promoting talent from the academy.
